The first day of our trip we traveled 704 miles through MO, NB, and WY.

The second day we drove 660 miles through WY, UT, and ID.

So far today, we have traveled through ID, OR, and now we are in WA.

We have seen lots of beautiful scenery. This first picture was taken along the highway in Wyoming.

We drove on the northeastern edge of the Great Salt Lake in Utah.

Idaho is the first state we have entered that we’ve never been in before.

We just happened to come across Snake River Canyon (Do you know what 1974 event made this canyon even more iconic?) See the answer at the end of this post.

We camped at Three Island Crossing State Park in Glen Ferry, ID. The emigrants of the Oregon Trail crossed the Snake River at this location.

We have several of the conveniences of home in our van. This is a picture of our bed and we used the portable stove to fix tuna-melt sandwiches as we drove down the road.

Answer-Evil Knievel attempted to jump this canyon on Sept. 8, 1974.
